Acceptance How-To
Acceptance is when you RP/ICly bring your character to Sophiax and deal with acceptance through RP.

Step 1- Make Your Character

This is a simple process to some Make a character in the Character Directory. However, keep in mind that only certain breeds are allowed in the pack.

Step 2- Read the Sophiax Hand Book

Another simple task. Read the rules of the pack. You can find the book here.

Step 3- Starting Acceptance

2 paragraphs about your character entering Sophiax. They cannot go a mile past the border, or they will be chased out by the Patrol!

Please write "acceptance" in the title of your post. Usually, people come up with a fancy title, and then add the word "acceptance" in parathesis after the title. Here's an example: Wandering Into the Forest (acceptance) This is to help the Patrol find your thread.

Step 4- The Questions

A Patrol wolf will respond to your thread. The Patrol will ask your character a few questions. Be prepared for all sorts of questions!

Common Questions asked are:

- What's your name?
- Where are you from and why did you leave?
- Why do you want to join Sophiax?
- What are you good at/What can you contribute to the pack?
- What do you value the most?

If the Patrol is pleased with your answers, then they'll accept you as a Acolyte! And you'll be good to go!

Ranks

Royal Family
Spirit

High Priest
The High Priest is the masculine side of the balanced team. He runs the pack as the brawn, but is just as religious and wise as the High Priestess. In certain ceremonies, he plays the role of a God. Usually, but not always, the High Priest is the mate of the High Priestess.

High Priestess
The High Priestess is the feminine side of the balanced team. She runs the pack as the brain, but is just as strategic and strong as the High Priest. In certain ceremonies, she plays the role of a Goddess. Usually, but not always, the High Priestess is the mate of the High Priest.

Lady
The Lady is like a Beta in the pack. She is responsible for running the pack in the High Priestess' absence, and takes over should the High Priestess be killed, until one of the Guardians is able to rule. She is also the midwife and companion of the High Priestess, and is highly trusted in the pack.

Lord
The Lord is like a Beta in the pack. He is responsible for running the pack in the High Priest's absence, and takes over should the High Priest be killed, until one of the Guardians is able to rule. He is also the main companion for the High Priest.

Guardian
Pups of the High Priestess, and the heirs of the pack. Must be blood related to the High Priestess, if not the High Priest also. A Guardian is responsible for learning how to rule the pack, then showing the High Priest and Priestess that he or she is capable of taking on such a task.

Reincarnates
These wolves are blessed with a specific marking and are believed to be the direct spawn of the God and Goddess. It is rumored that when one dies, its soul is transferred to another body; to that of a newborn pup.

High Council
Earth

Advisor
The advisor does just as the name says, advises the High Priest and Priestess. He or she is responsible for listening to reports, then making a decision that will help the pack.

Name Giver
The name giver studies each member of the pack during their training, then gives him or her an official name when his or her mentor deems him or her worthy.

Mentor
The mentor trains all initiates in the pack’s religion, ceremonies, and customs. After the said wolf has been given a proper name, the mentor is then responsible for teaching the initiate important terms for future use.

Scribe
The scribe has knowledge of the packs legends and stories, and is responsible for passing them on to the pups born into the pack. In Sabbat and Esbat ceremonies, the scribe tells a legend specifically pertaining to that Sabbat, passing the knowledge to every member of the pack.

Prefect
Air

Webweaver
This wolf’s job is to make alliances with other packs. They must be able to make appealing conditions while making sure the whole is not destroyed at the same time. Though in the Prefect, this is a highly respected rank. Also acts as lead hunter.

Messenger
The messenger’s job is to carry messages back and forth between two wolves, whether it be in the pack, or that of an ally. Must be quick and able to avoid conflicts. Also act as hunters.

Priest/ess
The Priest/ess knows about both physical and psychological healing, and teaches healers, shamans, and neoshamans how to do their jobs. This wolf also knows about the different god pantheons. Go to this wolf if you have any questions about who to pray to.

Healer
The healers are wolves that use herbs and other materials to aid in cleansing and repairing of physical wounds. Always female.

Shaman
The shaman is one of the most religious and loyal members of the pack. Always male. He uses herbs, stones, and other objects to aid in the cleansing ad repairing of psychological and religious wounds. In many respects, he is like a counselor, and helps reassure the soul of any adult pack member.

Neoshaman
The neoshaman, also known as a pup sitter, must be qualified to be a shaman, but must also be female. She is to care for the pups, and aid in their spiritual growth.

Magus
Contrary to the definition, this group can be made up of either males or females. This is a secret group, only known by the Royal Family) of fighters that train harder than any other wolf in the pack. They are trained to win their fights, and to never give up, even if they do lose. They are trained to wound, but will kill if need be. They are also given special missions by the Royal Family to track and kill traitors. These wolves are hand picked by the High Priest and Priestess due to the importance of their rank, and the need for loyalty. These wolves would never plan a take over of their leaders. They are usually given another rank as a cover up.

Royal Guard
Royal Guards are responsible for guarding the High Priest and Priestess at all times. If the High Priest or Priestess is ever attacked, his or her guards must be willing to protect them with their life. One/two sabres, one/two wolves for each.

Warrior
The warriors are the fighters of the pack. They are the main fighters of the pack, and must fight if the pack is ever threatened.

Protector
The protectors aid the pack’s allies when the time comes. Always lower in number then Warriors, the two groups sometimes interchange members and merge.

Ravenmocker
Ravenmockers are the pack’s assassins, and are the least kind members of the pack. May sometimes be hired by other packs for something in exchange.

Patrol
The patrol are members of the pack that protect the borders and accept new members. They are also trained to read body language and hostile movements.

Dagger
The hunters of Sophiax. They are responsible for bringing meals back for the pack, and sacrifices for rituals. Even in food shortages, they know where the best places are to find prey, and must be good at hunting and tracking.

New Generation

Acolyte
New members of the pack that have no rank and are taught by a mentor. They have basic roles in the pack, such as being recruited by the messengers and web weaver for hunting trips. Over the age of two.

Summoner/Maiden
Any member of the pack under the age of two. Summoner refers to males, Maiden refers to females. These wolves are allowed to train for a rank once they hit one and a half years old, and are evaluated for the first time on their second birthday. If they do not get the rank they were hoping for, they are moved into the Acolyte rank until they receive one.

Incarnates
Pups born into the pack. Under the age of one year.

Familiars
These animals (birds), are free to come and go from the territory as they please. They aren't so much a member of the pack as a creature that has pledged allegiance to the pack for rights to roost within the territory.

Bane

Betrayed
Those that are betrayed have committed a horrible crime against the pack. They are to be killed on sight.
