The wolves on Spirit Whispers can have various kinds of magic, allowing them certain advantages and disadvantages to others.
Fyretro
Fyretro is the ability to control the element of fire. There are different levels of this magic, and the hardest moves to master can not be attempted until the bearer has mastered the basics and the advanced moves have been mastered. Those Fyretrones that have mastered all of the moves are pure-blood (his or her family is entirely made of Fyretrones) Fyretrones, and have inherited the superior ability to shape the element.
Woturdra
Woturdra is the ability to control the element of water. There are different levels of this magic, and the hardest moves to master can not be attempted until the bearer has mastered the basics and the advanced moves have been mastered. Those Woturdrans that have mastered all of the moves are pure-blood (his or her family is entirely made of Woturdrans) Woturdrans, and have inherited the superior ability to shape the element.
Irthra
Irthra is the ability to control the element of earth. There are different levels of this magic, and the hardest moves to master can not be attempted until the bearer has mastered the basics and the advanced moves have been mastered. Those Irthrades that have mastered all of the moves are pure-blood (his or her family is entirely made of Irthrades) Irthrades, and have inherited the superior ability to shape the element.
Wyndile
Windile is the ability to control the element of air. There are different levels of this magic, and the hardest moves to master can not be attempted until the bearer has mastered the basics and the advanced moves have been mastered. Those Wyndales that have mastered all of the moves are pure-blood (his or her family is entirely made of Wyndales) Wyndales, and have inherited the superior ability to shape the element.
Resurrect
This ability allows the bearer to bring any PUP back to life within three hours of death, but at the price of their own life. This power can only be used once, as after it is used, the bearer dies as the pup regains life. Only one remaining wolf knows how to use the power and live the experience, but many think she has died, and many don't even know where she lived before her "death." These wolves may specify any mark that will appear on the pup, and any mark they specify WILL appear. They may not specify the pups name, color, gender, or area the mark will appear.
Alter Ego
This ability is very rare, and skips every four generations. Those with this power can divide themselves into multiple bodies. The bearer is able to control all of the duplicates, but the duplicates rely on the beares command, for they do not have a mind of their own. The duplicates are just solid forms of the bearers energy, which when they are made, weakens the holder of the power. Every wound the duplicates suffer, the bearer receives once they have merged with the duplicates again. This power has its upsides and downsides, the upside being, the bearer is able to fight a larger opponent, or more opponents. The downside is they will receive any wounds received once merged, and they may have difficulty controlling the duplicates, mainly keeping them out of harms way. These wolves may be called upon by a strong Darkside to do their bidding, and once they have been called, have no control over their own actions. Those with the Alter Ego don't generally like being controlled by the Darkside, and only use their power to save themselves or the ones they love.
Beast Varg
This is more or less a sub-species of wolf, and can appear in any wolf breed. The bearer can change their appearance to that of a creature they have seen, but cannot shift into the form of a creature they have never seen. The more it is used, the harder it gets to control, and wolves have been known to change at random, or to never regain their wolf form again. Those with this power must heed it with caution, as any wrong move could be the last of your wolf form.This power is rare, but is given to one pup in the litter every two generations.
Commune
This power allows the bearer to speak with any animal, coming in quite useful in times of war or famine. The bearer can sometimes, if allowed, enter the other creatures mind and see out of their eyes. These wolves can see the future accurately, but they cannot will the future seeking at will. The future sight will occur at random times, and rarely does it leave the bearer astray.
Shiftmoon
This power allows the wolf to shift to the human form, but can only be held for 24 hours before changing back. Once the wolf has shifted back, they cannot shift back until they have regained their strength, which is generally after three weeks. The wolves with this power are capable of mating with humans, and if they have done so, they will never be able to shift back. Nevertheless, even when in human form, they can still talk to their wolf brethren, if their brethren accepts them as family.
Darkside
These wolves are similar to those with the power of Alter Ego, despite the fact that they cannot make copies of themselves. They can talk to the dead, and have the ability to open the Gateways of Death. No living wolf knows how to open the Gateways of Death, and many would like it to stay that way. When they have the Darkside about them, they live from the death and destruction, and do everything in their power to make others miserable, even their lightside. The Darkside has been known to kill the wolf's mate in the hopes to make it's lightside miserable, thus deciding to stay permanently in the Darkside. There is legend that if the Gateways of Death were to be opened, the dead would walk the earth again and all life would perish. Very rarely, the Darkside can call on other Darkside's or those with the Alter Ego to do their bidding, which many Darksides enjoy. Many of these wolves born die, and have to be resurrected by a wolf with Resurrect. If the pups are not resurrected, they grow into a demon wolf once in the Realm of the Dead, which can be opened into the world if the Gateways of Death are opened.
Naturth
The wolves with this power have an ability to heal creatures of most wounds. There are multiple verses which can be used by these wolves to heal the wound. But this power has an alter ego of its own. There are certain verses by which the wolf can paralyze or even separate the spirit from the body. Their codes are directly connected to the DNA, by relating their codes to the links, Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine. If the wolf knows the legends well enough, they can even unravel a wolf's DNA, bringing death to the creature if the DNA is not reassembled almost immediately. It is said these wolves can take the spirit from one body and place it in another body if they so please, but that takes a great amount of concentration and will power, and most do not have the strength to pull it off.
Luxiul
This power allows the wolf to see those wolves with Darkside. These wolves are able to avoid attacks by those with Darkside only when they use their powers, and have to fight by tooth and claw if no powers are used. Many wolves with this power have been known to purify the Darkside of another, allowing the wolf with Darkside to go back into that state only when they are in danger, and come out of it when the danger has passed. These wolves see all visions, good and bad, and can relay that information to others. Whether they will be believed or not is a different story. Their visions can be helpful, and many times, help the bearer to stay out of danger, or find a better way out.
