Have you ever wanted to make your own pack? Well this is the place to do so! Here are the rules that you have to go by!

General Rules:

-You cannot reserve space in the marshlands.
You must fight and protect your land. And be active.

-The laws you make for your pack are valid only for your pack.
Other packs that challenge do not have to abide by your packs rules.

-Already established [EX: Sophiax] packs in the forum CANNOT claim land in the Marshlands.
They have big enough land as it is.

-In order to challenge and build a pack in the marshlands the leader(s) must be members of the forum for over 2 months.
We want to make sure that people know the rules very well, and have RPed here before.

-To receive a sub board you must be considered an active pack in the Marshlands and follow all the rules.
Only then you could POLITELY ask a mod to make you one. IF you REALLY need it.

-Packs who want to claim unclaimed land must post their OWN claiming thread on the unclaimed lands board.

Roleplay Rules:

-Each pack MUST make its own thread of rules.
It will run smoother if you had some.

Notify WiseWolf or Cantrelle of border changes, when they happen.

You must seek acceptance into a marshland pack like any other pack.
No auto-accepted designs are allowed in the marshlands.

The accepted minimum length of posts is two paragraphs.
This is to keep threads interesting. If your post has too little information, who's going to roleplay with you?

Flocks of birds (or other such animals) MAY challenge for land.
Keep in mind that your group is NOT immune to attack from other packs or clans.

Fighting and Challenge Rules:

Fighting that happens OVER LAND doesn't happen on claiming threads in the Unclaimed Land board, and it does not happen in another pack's sub-board.
Threads that fall into this category are fought on the main page. Read these [link coming]

It is the responsibility of those in each pack to work out the conditions of a fight before contacting WiseWolf.
Once your claiming thread is up, contact a leader of a pack you need to fight. Work out the conditions then contact one of the listed mods (WiseWolf, Cantrelle) with this information (this includes whether its alpha vs alpha, pack vs. pack, no-consent kill, consent needed to kill etc.)

The challenger has the right to challenge any pack or settlement on the map, if the pack is not currently in a challenge.

In a fight thread there is always a posting order.
Forgetting this could result in loss by default.

During a challenge fight, one of the fighters involved MUST be the ALPHA of the challenged / challenging pack.

OOC Rules:

The map is updated on a regular monthly-ish cycle.

To keep land a pack must have an active thread within a set deadline.

In order to keep a pack you must gain land that will hold all the members in your pack.
Below 10 members = at least 10-15 square miles
10 to 19 members = at least 30
20 to 29 members = at least 60 and so on

The Grace Period is defined as a TWO WEEK LONG span of time in which a pack that has finished a challenge cannot be challenged again in that time period.

Deadlines:

Challenges and Fight Threads
The official rule for deadlines is TWO WEEKS. If a challenge thread has not been responded to in the two week time limit, the last pack that posted is declared the winner.

The only posts that count in challenge and fight threads, are those of the Alpha(s). Posts made by other characters regardless of which pack they're from do not count toward the threads activity. Once the Alpha responds, the challenge thread is validated, and further terms can be discussed via PM, and briefly in the challenge thread. If no other progress is made on the challenge thread after this point, and no one sends in a fight thread form, the last pack to post will be declared the winner. The side holding progress will lose the land.

In fight threads, there is a posting order that determines the thread activity level. Should one pack not post within the two week deadline, the other pack will be declared the winner.

The ultimate posting time for fight threads is four weeks. Folks, this gives you a month to wrap up a fight thread. Even if you only make 1 post a week, you still have plenty of time to finish a fight thread. There should be no excuses. If, after the four weeks is up, no conclusion is reached, the winner will be decided upon activity. This is to discourage players from posting at the end of the two week deadline.

Activity Check
Pack activity checks occur every two weeks. These dates are clearly posted in the activity check thread. On the chosen date, one of the Marsh Mods will inspect the pack, warning those that aren't staying active.

The acceptable post amount is defined as four IC threads with their most recent post date set after the date clearly stated in the Activity check thread. Threads that count toward pack activity include pack meetings, individually started threads, acceptance threads, and current challenge threads. No outside posts (alliance threads or challenge threads in another pack's board) will count toward the pack's activity. OOC does not count, only IC posts count toward pack activity.

If a new pack is established between activity check dates, activity will be noted on a case-by-case basis. Any pack established at least one week prior to an activity check date must have at least two active IC threads. Packs established between 3-5 days prior must have at least one active IC thread. Packs established less than two days prior to a check are exempt. Packs established more than two weeks prior to a check must have the four required IC threads.

If a pack is inactive at the date of an activity check, they will be warned. Warned packs must have four NEW active threads by the date of the next activity check if they want to keep their land. Packs may get up to one warning every six months. Packs receiving two warnings within six months WILL lose their land. Any land lost from inactivity goes up as unclaimed. The packs are more than welcome to challenge for their land again, but they must follow the claiming rules, meaning they may have to fight multiple packs to get their land back.

Sub-boards:

You can only get one if you NEED it
If your main board is so cluttered that you NEED a sub-board to keep everything organized, then so be it.

Your pack must be active
Your pack must have at least four active threads to be considered for a sub-board.

Your pack must have been in existence for at least a month
If your pack hasn't been around for a month, don't ask. We won't give one to you.

There is a maximum of four sub-boards
We have enough boards cluttering the forum. You aren't a board pack, so you probably won't be as active as one.
